Manolis has been part of the Ethno family ❤️ since 2008 – as a participant, mentor, and true believer in the power of musical exchange 🤝🎵! He’s been to many Ethno camps 🏕️, joined EthnoFonik 2018 🎤, and took part in the Artistic Mentor Think Up in Spain in 2022. Today, he’s the project coordinator of Ethno Greece 🎼 and was the local host of the AMT, OAT & EC meeting in Nafplio in 2023 📍.
Rooted in the vibrant traditions of Crete 🌺, Manolis plays the lyra 🎻, lute 🎼, and mandolin 🎶, and sings too 🎤!
He holds a master’s degree 🎓 in ethnomusicology 📚, with a focus on contemporary Greek folk music 🇬🇷, and is always on a mission ✈️ to discover new instruments 🪕, stories 📖, and musical styles from around the world 🌏🎶.
